Wharanui Mills - - 11/6/1930 The stop block at the end of the Wharanui station yard and the stop block in the Public Works yard have been removed and hereafter the Public Works Department locomotive in charge of a competent shunter employed by that Department may enter the railway station yard at Wharanui for the purpose of working loaded and empty wagons to and from the Extension.  The south end main line points at Wharanui will be set and locked for the siding.
