- Roller bearings awaited for Ja_class_loco's finally arrived
- A disabled railcar hauled by Loco_Ub364 from Greymouth to Christchurch with some challenges
- Loco_Ub364 then pulled Loco_Ab688 to Hillside
- Loco_Ab688 had been severely damaged in the Islington smash after the over-run of a signal in thick fog
- Observed that all Linwood-based locos have class and number on front and rear buffer-beams, except Ub_Class_locos which have them on the smoke-box door
- Loco_Ub329 on a passenger service from Rangiora
- Loco_Q343 assisted a J_class_Loco from Dunedin to Seacliff with the morning express bound for Christchurch
