Loco K953, the 29^th of its class has just entered service
Of the four B class locomotives, three have now been converted to We class for use on the Rewanui Incline
- Loco B198 converted in 1902, renumbered and classified to loco We376 in 1942
- Loco B308 not converted
- Loco B309 converted in 1943 and renumbered and classified to Loco We375
- Loco B377 converted and renumbered in 1902, reclassified to - Loco We377 in 1943

Over 30 of the 56 A class 'Pacifics' have been converted from 4 cylinder compound to 2 cylinder simple propulsion
