|Parikawa station is situated in a sandy windswept area.  It would be necessary to buy a site from  the owners of a property on the western side of the road.  There is no water supply available in the  vicinity and provision would have to be made for sufficient rain water tanks  to provide water for household purposes for at least three months as droughts  of this duration occur periodically in this location.
